My earnings look wrong.

Check the wage rules first: hourly rate, the night window, the overtime threshold and whether unpaid breaks are deducted. A shift's own hours override the shift type's hours, so a day you edited by hand may be using different times than you expect.

I changed a shift type's hours and my old shifts stayed the same.

That is deliberate. Changing a type updates its name and colour everywhere, but shifts already on the calendar keep the hours they were saved with — otherwise editing a type would quietly rewrite months of history and the earnings that go with it. New shifts use the new hours.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open the app, go to Settings and then Pro, and tap “Restore purchases”. It signs nothing up and charges nothing; it only checks the Apple Account already on the device.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Settings, then Pro, then “Manage subscription” takes you to the App Store screen where you can cancel. Access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

The watch shows an old plan.

The watch keeps the last plan it received so it still answers when the phone is away. Open the watch app with the phone nearby and unlocked, and it will pull the current one.

How do I delete everything?

Settings, then Data management, then “Delete all data”. It clears the shifts, types, rules and records on the device. Deleting the app does the same. If iCloud sync was on, turn it off first or the data may come back from your other devices.

Backshift is a planning and calculation tool. The amounts it shows are an estimate based on the rules you entered — your employer's payroll is the authority, and the export exists so you can compare the two.
